Biography

Profile

I am a graduate student in theoretical physics at the University of Manitoba, where I work with Professor Andrew Frey and Professor Margaret Carrington. I completed my undergraduate degree in Physics at BRAC University in Bangladesh. My research interests are centered on theoretical high-energy physics, particularly string theory, string phenomenology, particle physics, and quantum information. During my undergraduate studies, I worked on warped compactifications in supergravity, time-dependent backgrounds in string theory, and early-universe cosmology.

Research

Current research

I am currently pursuing graduate research in theoretical physics at the University of Manitoba. My previous research has focused on warped compactification in supergravity, the role of negative-tension sources in compact internal spaces, and time-dependent backgrounds in string theory and early-universe cosmology.

Education

BSc in Physics, BRAC University, 2026. Undergraduate thesis: “Warped Compactification in Supergravity: A p-Brane Model.”

Research Experience

Undergraduate Research Assistant, BRAC University (December 2025 - May 2026). Worked on “Time Dependent Backgrounds in String Theory and Early Universe Cosmology.” Research Intern, ICTP Physics Without Frontiers: Physics for Bangladesh (July - October 2025). Studied time-dependent backgrounds in string theory, differential forms, variational methods, and nonlinear differential equations.

Skills

Theoretical physics; string theory and supergravity; differential geometry and differential forms; variational methods; nonlinear differential equations; Python; Cadabra.

Selected Achievements

Undergraduate Research Assistant on a BRAC University Research Seed Grant project. News Editor, BRACU Express.

Selected Publications

Research report: “The Anatomy of Non-Vacuum Kasner Branes,” ICTP Physics Without Frontiers: Physics for Bangladesh, 2025.

Other information

Undergraduate thesis supervisor: Dr. Ratul Mahanta, University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), Hefei.

Writing And Outreach

Beyond research, I am interested in writing and journalism. During my undergraduate studies, I served as News Editor of BRACU Express and wrote on science, society, politics, history, and books. I also write independently on Substack.
